Snowman Door
|
I decorated my Dad's door in Memory Care.
I cut all of the pieces out of cardstock on my Silhouette. The coal "buttons" and carrot nose I designed as part of a Silhouette School ebook lesson. I had already made a small snowman cut file so I just enlarged the coal and carrot. The hat was part of a purchased snowman cut file. I added the holly to the hat from another file. The berries were cut from glitter cardstock.
The scarf was made from red with white polka dot wrapping paper.
I guessed at the dimensions, I'm sure you can tell! Haha! I wish the hat was a little bigger and slightly higher on the door, but oh well! It fit through the Xyron. I was afraid to reposition it because it has a narrow strip to the right of the hat band and I'd already torn one hat at home.
I ran all of the pieces through my Xyron using repositionable adhesive. The scarf is adhered to the door with poster tape.
Dad was kind of tired today and didn't seem to really care about his door, but Mom really liked it! That's ok. If it makes Mom smile when she visits Dad, it's all good.
Oh, and I didn't remember the big room number and door knocker, so poor frosty has a number on his forehead!
TFL!
