Magenta Stamp & Avery Elle Die

I made the original card ten years ago, but it didn’t seem complete, and I never sent it to anyone.
Today, I added the apple die-cut and sentiment; it’s ready to go.

BACKGROUND:
Magenta stamp
Tombow Markers
Card -- Bazzill Holly cardstock
Focal image and matting -- SU white ultra-smooth; matting was colored with marker #757
Robins Nest Dew Drops, colored with alcohol inks

I used Tombow Markers Direct-to-Rubber. What you see here is my third try. Each attempt got better, probably because the stamp had never been inked before; and with each try, the color built up on the stamp. It took me almost as long to get the Dew Drops the color I wanted. I used cranberry, raisin, currant, and red pepper alcohol inks.

I used the following Tombow Markers:
leaves--249, 098, 245
grapes--757, cherries--847, apples--856
pears--126 & 133, stems--027
flowers--673 & 055
border--177

DIE-CUT
Avery Elle Little Minds Die Set
Lutradur & Ken Oliver’s Stick-It double-sided adhesive
Tombow Markers, #757 and 277

It took forever for the ink to dry on the Lutradur. That turned out to be a good thing. I was able to wipe away my mistakes. I ended up heat-drying it.

SENTIMENT:
Elizabeth Craft Designs die
Tombow Marker, #757, over olive green cardstock

Only another stamper can truly appreciate the work you did to get that background multi-colored! It's worth it! The color of the dew drops is perfect. I have Lutradur in my stash somewhere ... good to know I need to heat set ... remind me, ha!
