Backgrounds

I watched Wendy Vecchi making backgrounds using Archival reinkers mixed with 91% rubbing alcohol and decided to give it a try. I put a few drops of reinker on a craft sheet and poured on a little pool of rubbing alcohol, mixed it with a palate knife and swiped some card stock through it.
I only have a few archival reinkers
I think I used mainly Fern Green and Red Geranium and a few with
Orange Blossom and Petunia
I used Neenah Solar White 80# card stock cut to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2.
Like Wendy commented ... this method does not wrinkle or pill the paper! Neenah does not take water well at all but it's nice and smooth and flat after using alchohol.
Once the color was dry I went back and sprayed rubbing alcohol through a stencil on some, and sprayed alcohol on background stamps on others (laying the stamp rubber side up, misting with alcohol and laying the paper over it and running over it with my fingers). I would also like to add some light background stamping with ink and maybe some stenciling with ink. There are some cool backgrounds done in Wendy's new colors released last week on Instagram.
