Embossed backgrounds SU Ferns and Painted Texture

My former SU rep has moved back to the area and I bought a few things. The Fern and Painted Texture embossing folders. Decided to play a bit before I find a spot to put them away.

I love the painted texture, it reminds me of stucco. Both folders say 3D on them but the fern is not as 3D as the painted one. I still like it.

I used tried a mix of black paper and white paper and used distress paint and Cosmic Shimmer polishes. The one on top had a complete coat of gilding polish, then it was run through my Sizzix for embossing. It looks kin. d of garish! But, we all know ugly backgrounds can turn out ok in the end, so I'll keep it. I used paint over the top because I didn't know if ink would stick to the polish. The second row was embossed over white paper even though it doesn't look that white in the photo. I used a very light coat of shimmer polish on the painted texture and it just highlights the ridges. I really like the backgrounds made with black paper.

Embossing Folders : SU Painted Texture 3d, SU Fern 3D
Distress Paint : Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness
Cosmic Shimmer : Bright Sunshine Guilding Polish and Blue Parakeet Opal Polish (irridescent, green on white paper, blue on black paper)

TFL!
