Birthday card for my uncle

It's been a long time since I've stamped on Kromecote paper. It's really nice for detailed stamps. I had to play around with inks and heat setting to see what worked. This image was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and heat set. The image I stamped and let sit overnight without heat setting dried almost completely, but not perfectly. It's probably best to use Archival.

I colored just the lantern part of the image with Tombow markers.

Stamp : Impression Obsession Train Station
Die : the banner die with sentiment inserts came in my Spellbinders Advent Calendar. It's a little bit hard to read but says "It's Your Day!"

On my first attempt I tried coloring the train red. There are some really tiny spots to get in to and it ended up looking messy. I might give it another shot. I have two more uncles who will need cards this year!

This image is a lot sharper in person. Maybe the glossy paper is throwing off the photo?

TFL!

This is a wonderful way to use this detailed image with a minimum of coloring. I'll remember this. TFS. Daria

that is a neat stamp and I love the sentiment die also, I wonder if inking lightly over it would help you to see it better.
