WF19 Game Twist Gesso with Distress Oxides

For my Game Twist entry, I used Gesso. My tip for a technique with Gesso is to coat your regular cardstock with Gesso before using Distress Oxides for the smooshing technique. My results are generally much more pleasing with the gesso base, as the ink tends to bead up a little better, and my layers are, well, more layered and less mud. I do still recommend drying between layers with a heat gun.

It is worth the extra step to do the gesso.

Colors are wilted violet, seedless preserves and salty ocean.

Power Poppy Snow Kissed Stamp set, colored with alcohol markers and plenty of glitter gel pen that isn’t showing up in this photo, sadly.

Also, it isn’t hard to read the sentiment in real life. The gallery does sortof shrink up my photos so that you can’t see the details too well. I probably will be posting this on my blog with additional photos tomorrow.

I love the colors and your sweetie pie snowman! The oxides look wonderful. I’ll have to try gesso!
