Friday Night virtual card class

These are the cards we made in a virtual card class offered by my LSS, Everything Scrapbook and Stamps. I didn't finish during the FB Live class, so I worked on them today.

Far left - I stamped Hero Arts background on kraft in Brushed Corduroy Distress ink. The ornament is a Sizzix cut and emboss folder. How cool that it does that in one pass! The ornament has pop dots on the back but the left and right edges are glued down to give it a rounded dimension.

Middle - A really pretty Creative Expressions die! We were sent the die cut. We blended the card front with blueprint sketch distress. I didn't like how it roughed up the top fold of my card so I trimmed it off and adhered to a new card front. I had the brilliant idea that the star/dot over the "i" in night would be easier to color if I left it in the die cut. Oops! I got yellow pearlescent paint on my pristine white die cut. I erased with a Tombow sand eraser and then wanted to lift more, so I tried to lift the paint with a wet brush and blistered the card stock a bit. I remedied that the best I could by outlining the star with a gold gel pen and then coloring the star punch out and another tiny star under the angel with the same gold gel pen. Ugh! I'm taking a poll ... do you think the other two stars should also be gold? or left white?

Far right - I love the tropical feel of this card. The ornaments are from Sparkle N Sprinkle, which were sent to us gold embossed. We did the fussiest of fussy cutting so we could save the pretty hangers and hang them off a die cut branch. The pp is Heidi Swapp. I really like the tropical vibe of this card. I added Class A Peel sticker gems in turquoise and green. We inked the branch with brown distress and added white opal liquid pearls to the top. My pearl turned brownish/gold. I bet it reacted with the brown distress ink. I should have used archival ... but then I just realized, if this is a tropical card it shouldn't have snow on it anyway! TFL!

Wow these are gorgeous, I just love all the detail in that first ornament, looks fabulous against your background. Love the border die on the next one, sorry you had a few troubles but you fixed them up just great, me I would add the gold to the other stars but that's just me, it looks fine like you have it too. I love the pastel colors in the last one, I am loving how things are being changed up with all different colors for Christmas and this would be great for anyone that doesn't have snow fo

These are all beautiful! I think I would like all the stars in gold, but it is ok with how you did it. TFS

Wow lots of work here! Nicely done too! My favorite is the blue and white and yes all the stars should be the same gold.

These look great. The ornament on the first card is gorgeous, and I like the background stamping. I would probably make all the stars gold. It would move the eye to follow them. The ornaments on the third card have a shell-like appearance that gives your card that tropical look along with the colors you chose. Very cool. TFS. Daria
