Memory Box Grand Stag Oval Frame Die

The idea for these cards came from a card Beesmom posted on Splitcoaststampers on December 5, 2016.:
https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2768336. It reminded me of two cards I had made long ago and never liked well enough to give away. I took those cards apart and used the focal image for the background on these cards. Much better!

CARD:
4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches
International Paper Accent Opaque Digital 120-lb. cardstock (card base and die-cut on one card)
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110-lb (embossed background and die-cut on one card)
Sizzix/Stampin’ Up! Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder (143706)

FOCAL IMAGE:
Memory Box Grand Stag Oval Frame die (3 layers)
Gina K. Designs Contact Adhesive
StampPloration’s CutPlorations Stitched Snow Hills die (I trimmed off the stitched part)

BACKGROUND:
I made two cards with this background, but I never liked the cards enough to give them to anyone. I love the way they turned out as a background for this die-cut.

I originally made this background ten years ago for Jennifer McGuire’s Holiday Thinking Inking Class on Two Peas in a Bucket. It involved Block stamping and Generation Stamping. The stamp was inked and then misted with water before stamping.
140-lb hot press watercolor paper
Art Impressions stamps
Distress Inks (Mostly Old Paper and Weathered Wood, Shabby Shutters and Cloudy Blue on edges,
Forest Moss to stamp trees)

This is beautiful! Don't you like it when you can use something that didn't look that well to you and it goes great with something else? Great card1 Very Happy

This is the perfect use for your beautiful background! So glad you saved it, and now it can be mailed.
