Tim Holtz's Reflections Technique

I made this card using Tim Holtz’s Reflections Stamping Technique (Creative Chemistry 101, Day 3).

Using Archival Jet Black Ink, stamp the reverse text and bats on the smooth side of the opened embossing folder (usually the side that has the manufacturer’s logo). Carefully place the cardstock on the non-inked side of the folder so you don’t smear the ink. Close folder and emboss the cardstock. Clean the embossing folder with stamp cleaner. Then use Distress Inks to add color to the embossed cardstock.

I see that a bit of the text got onto the tree. If I had noticed, I could have just wiped it off the embossing folder before embossing the cardstock.

4 ¼” x 5 ½”
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock
Bazzill Cardstock

Stamps:
Stampers Anonymous, Tim Holtz Reflections (text)
Deadbeat Designs (bats)

Ranger Inks:
Archival Ink, Jet Black (text and bats)
Distress Inks: Crushed Olive, Broken China, Frayed Burlap (background)

TFL.

This looks fantastic with the text stamp! I usually have such bad luck with these techniques with embossing folders. Especially letterpress and so on. But this looks so good I may have to give this technique a try! TFS!

Love this. The printing in the background makes for an interesting card. Your tree is pretty cool too.
