World Cardmaking Challenge - Mother of Pearl

So I wanted to try this Mother Of Pearl Technique.

I used some plastic wrap to apply Golden Iridescent Pearl paint to glossy cardstock. I let it dry. Then I used a sponge applicator to apply distress inks in pinks and browns until I got the color I liked. I think the photo shows some of the shine.

The butterfly (no name) stamp was also done in the same Distress inks and then I added some flowers.

I was trying to ground my image with that embossed panel and the flowers, but I kindof messed up on the placement of the butterfly and then it was STUCK! lol. I also added some My Mind's Eye enamel dots.

Oh I love the MoP technique...but hadn't seen it for quite a long time. Thanks Heidi for such a pretty reminder of this classic.

Thanks for sharing your MoP technique, it turned out really pretty. I love the colors on the butterfly and I do think the embossed strip grounds everything.
