Fishing Boat

This technique is called Aged Tiles.

I stamped out my image using Walnut Stain Distress ink onto Very Vanilla card stock. Next, I cut my image in vertical strips then horizontal strips. All the edges were distressed with Early Espresso (SU) and put back together and mounted on wood grain designer paper.

Wanting a nautical feel I found some blue cord on sale at Michael's (hence the overpowering colour) and tied a sailor's knot and glued it on the card front.

Oh my gosh I love that technique and it is just perfect with this stamp, love the wood background and the knot tops it off nicely!

Great masculine card - thank for telling about the cutting and distressing the edges. I have used black ink between the cut pieces, but I now have a better method to use, thanks to you. Just distress the edges. Thanks so much. I am going to start to work on a card or cards using your methods. Thanks so much.

Super combination of stamp, technique and background paper! I'm surprised at the detail you got with distress ink.
