Mom's 80th birthday card

I needed to make a card, and my distress oxide backgrounds were out ...
Also, I bought my mom this same cut and emboss folder so I wanted to show her how it could be used.
Funny thing is, I also gave this EF to my sister for Christmas, so she used it for the card SHE made for Mom too! So now Mom has two different samples. My sister oriented hers landscape and put glitter cs behind it and mounted on a slightly larger pink card base. Hers is a more elegant version.

Cut and Emboss Folder - Spellbinders Baroque Filigree
Glued over top of distress oxide background (next gallery entry)
Added a few pink gems to flower centers (for some reason they look yellow-ish in photo)
Numbers - die cut from ink blended cs using old Sizzix steel rule dies

I cut my embossed layer down just a bit to let more of my background show around the edge. The background piece covers the entire card front.

TFL!

Your background adds a lot of interest to your mom's birthday card. I bet she loved it. Daria
