Rub on Watercoloring

April, sorry I could not follow your challenge as shown in the video. Unfortunately I tried several times but my hands are not steady enough to color “somewhat within the line”. Finally I looked for another technique that does not require steady hands.

I found a stamp that prints the background only and I can loosely color the image. This works only when the background is stamped with archival ink. When distress ink overflows onto the background it disappears into the color of the archival ink. In this case I used a rust color. I’m happy I could have the fun loosely water coloring my flowers! Now I will look for other stamps that print the background image.
