Washi tape page from Marjie Kemper's Art Journal Challenge

This photo shows one of the pages I made in Marjie Kemper's 5 Day Art Journaling Challenge.
On the left is a piece of patterned paper. On the right is the finished page. It is the same page ... my photos just didn't turn out the same size.

I added strips of washi tape, sometimes even layering washi over washi. On Marjie's advice, I glued the washi down with collage medium for a more lasting sitck, and I'm glad I did.

One of the reasons I bought a few distress embossing glazes was because I liked Tim Holtz's demo where he tinted baseboard dolls. I was happy to finally do that! This one is tinted with Speckled Egg. It was also great to use up some washi!

Stamp : Toomuchfun
I love this stamp and this was the perfect place to use it! Can't read it without memories of college days and Talking Heads, "Once in a Lifetime". This is one of the reasons I loved this challenge ... most cards don't give me the opportunity to use stamps like this. ha!

TFL!

Oh wow what a change the washi tape gave to the background, the talking heads was the first thing I thought of too when reading your sentiment
