Art Journal front

This is the front of the art journal I made over the weekend. I used 140 lb watercolor paper that I cut to 18"x6" then I scored in half so each sheet was 9"x6". I then poked holes down the score line and then sewed them together using a website blog I found showing how to bind pages together using coptic stitch. I cut the front and back covers from cereal box and then cut a large sheet of wrapping paper to envelope all the pages, cover, and backing; glued spine and left overnight then glued wrapping paper on over everything yesterday morning; left to dry.

Wow! How bright and cheery. Who wouldn't want to work in this journal. Thank you for sharing.

Good for you! Love the cheery cover and that will be added inspiration to jump into creating! Wow, the Coptic stitch is not the easiest stitch for first time book binding! But you sewing skill shine through...great results!
