oxide play

I tried the oxides on glossy cs and it glides over the card very nicely. I then wiped off the ink and the dye ink was left underneath and this is how it turned out! I love it!

I love these colors and how bright they are. The black is a nice contrast, too.

Wonderful colors! But I don't quite understand...did you use the dye ink for the black lines. Are the colors we see the oxides? Was it still wet and so you wiped the wet part off? Mine is always dry in moments so there dry to wipe off.

I used oxides for the black too. All the colors are oxides as well. The oxides do not dry on glossy cardstock because there is pigment ink in them, so when you wipe off the ink the dye in the ink stays on.

Thanks Willie...good info to know. I must have missed one of Tim's videos. Thanks for sharing.

Cool! You've added a new twist to the technique. Love the vibrant colors. Daria

I am not real sure, but I think I learned about this on Jennifer Mcquire's blog.

Very nice! I learned the hard way that distress oxides don't dry on glossy, about a year ago when I tried to make a solid stamped flower card. I'll link it in the challenge thread.
