Vellum Circle

I started by coloring a piece of glossy cardstock with alcohol inks. Then I stamped some leaves using Stazon ink in black. I then die the circle using Spellbinders lacey circle. I cut a second circle from the vellum. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder. Then I laced to the two circles together with ribbon. This eliminates the dilemma of attaching vellum without the adhesive showing. The dangling leaf was cut out of shrinky dink material with my silhouette and colored with colored pencils before I shrunk it with my heat gun. I attached it with twine to the bow. I attached the circle to the base with foam squares.

I love the idea of weaving the ribbon around the die! Pretty way to use the vellum too. Thanks for joining my challenge.

I love this piece---the woven ribbon is pretty and I like how the vellum kinda shows and also kinda veils it too.
