ATC Swap August 2015 B&W+Kraft

ATC Swap August 2015 B&W+Kraft

The “Pack and Go” technique used for this swap is a simplified coloring method using limited supplies to make it simple to create while traveling. My traveling kit included: 1 white Derwent ColorSoft pencil, a white pencil eraser, a pencil sharpener and 4 Kraft ATCs stamped with Versafine black ink-2nd generation images.

Stamp selection- my older wooden stamps seem to include more dots for shading which provided more interest for this simple color palette.

I matted the final ATCs at home. Chinese Peony mat stamp- Hero Arts brushstroke; Magenta flower- blossom centers left plain to emphasize the Kraft paper color, added Clear Wink of Stella to the pencil colored areas. The outer edge of the white mat was cut with decorative scissors. I look forward to trying this technique with winter stamps.

So beautiful, especially the magnolia blossoms. I can't imagine how you were able to create these beauties with your limited supplies. I don't think I could have done it with my whole craft room. Thank you for sharing your talent.

I am so happy that I received these beauties. I was surprised to see how you made them with so few supplies. I wondered who made that ATC size postage stamp die; now I know--decorative scissors! I have those. lol. I wish people could see the beautiful effect of the Wink of Stella on the Magenta ATC. (I thought that looked like a Magenta image.) Thank you so much for these. Daria

Very pretty! Did you just like the second generation stamping for the way it looked, or do you think that it is better for this coloring technique? TFS., they are lovely!

Heidi, I started stamping using a brand new verafine ink pad. I found it put too much ink on the dots and a few blurred together. Stamping with a 2nd generation created the distinctive individual dots.

These are gorgeous! I love the way the flower centers pop on the Magenta flowers, just by leaving them alone! Thanks for sharing your packing list! I need to remember this!

2 of my favorite flowers. Gorgeous details on these stamps and I love how the white pencil adds but doesn't take away details on your ATCs. Beautiful work, TFS Smile

Oh, these are absolutely stunning. I love how you coloured them. The images themselves are great!
