Alcohol inks 5; direct to GP Ranger Mixative technique (part 1 of 3)

I used the technique shown on the Ranger website to make a Christmas card.
This shows the pearl and silver mixative background with the greens (I forgot to photo before I die cut so I stuck the pieces back in, haha!) and brown for the branch.

I don't have silver mixative, but I remembered way back when ... before Ranger sold mixatives, people were using Krylon leafing pens. So my background uses Pearl mixative and Krylon silver leafing pen. I added cloudy blue and stream and this time I tried canned air to move the ink.

For the green background I pounced lettuce, meadow and willow inks and went back and added pesto. All of these colors were added on top of the same felt that had the mixatives/leafing as per the instructions on the Ranger site.

The brown piece was made by pouncing espresso and slate inks.

I love the soft brown color combo. And use of canned air gave soft long tenicals. Oh I to remember trying Krylon leafing metallic pens. I need to checkout if I have any that work.

Great backgrounds. Love the brown and my favorite is the top left.
