AIR15 Paint It!

I used a piece of dark red cardstock and stamped with a bunch of Stampendous Christmas foliage stamps. I used a metallic paint in champagne. I found I had better luck if I let the paint dry more than suggested in the link. But that way did require a bit more elbow grease.

To finish the card, I die cut a snippet and stamped with an Inkadinkado sentiment. I inked the edges with a Spica glitter marker and added some gems. You will notice that I was not paying attention when I attached the ribbon, so the sentiment is hanging off the bottom. Oh well. The green ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon (last October's club assortment) and the cream is from my stash.

This looks great! I really like the background for a christmas card. I think that the sentiment hanging off the bottom will be no problem if you have one of those envelopes that is just slightly larger. Thanks so much for doing my challenge!

great idea to use red cardstock for your base, the champagne on top looks great, I will have to try again and let it dry longer

I like this technique in red! I also like the metallic paint--I bet it looks cool in person too!
