AIR15 Back to Basics

Ann’s challenge asks us to reach back to before we had inks and stamps to make cards. My card is from my memories of making my sisters cards when I was in th 4-6th grades and it was in the mid 60’s. My family had very limited supplies so my work was on typing paper. Here I share 3 of the first techniques I learned to use in papercrafting 1) recycling and tearing paper-(leaves) 2)rubbings of most anything that had texture-as in the flowers and blue frame and 3) transferring images from the newspaper- see all inside blue framed area, the U in fun is accent with colored pencils.
Transferring images where done by placing a piece of wax paper over the image and rubbing firmly over the image with the bottom of a spoon applying pressure with 1st finger in bowl of spoon. Repeat rubbing in a few different directions lift a corner of the wax paper to see if the image is complete. If not rub more. When complete rub the image on the wax paper onto typing paper.
