Back to the Beginning

I got my start crafting when I grandma put a small counted cross stitch kit in my Christmas stocking when I was in the fifth grade. Yikes that was 29 years ago. So I decided to see if I had any spare Aida cloth, and I did. So I pulled out my DMC floss and stitched a little floral scene. I added a button from my stash of spare buttons that come with clothes for the sun. The ribbon was from my cousin's bridal shower. It is a lovely deep purple satin. She got a ton of it because came with all of the wrapped gifts she got from Bed, Bath & Beyond.

I love your card, and I love the your stitched scene. Great job showing what can still be created for our cards. I have some stitched pieces that I bought at a thrift store. I have previously used some. Need to pull them out. Thanks for taking my challenge. Great card.

This is so pretty! I really like the cross stitch on a card. I have notice that this is still very much in style in the UK. I wonder why we don't do more of it. TFS!
