Impression Obsession Bare Tree & Cardinals

This is a copy of a card we made at the Christmas Marathon Class at Stamp on Over. I don’t know why I thought this design would be an easy one to mass produce. Before embarking on this journey, I should have counted the steps required to make it and multiplied that by fifteen for the fifteen cards I made.

I often adhere two die-cuts together to give them more dimension. This time I just used a heavier cardstock, and I really like the effect.

Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock (110-lb. for the card base and the die-cut tree; 80-lb. for the focal paste-embossed focal piece)
Stampin’ Up! Red Foil cardstock (all but three cards)
Die Cuts with a View The Foiled Cardstock Stack, 6 x 6, Red
Dreamweavers Embossing Paste, Pearlescent
Simon Says Stamp Stencil, Falling Snow
Impression Obsession Die, Bare Tree
Impression Obsession Die Set, Cardinals
3M Super 77 Multipurpose Adhesive Spray (I don’t think it was meant to work with glitter. Even after adding the glitter and waiting two days, it was tacky. I think I’ll get some Aleene’s Spray Adhesive. That’s what we used at the Marathon Class, and it worked great.)
Sulyn Non-Toxic Extra Fine Glitter, Crystal Diamond
Papertrey Ink In The Meadow Stamp Set (sentiment)
Adirondack Red Pepper Ink Pad (sentiment)
Offray Spool O' Ribbon, 1/8"

I can't say for sure, but I really think the steps were worth it for this card! I just love the sparkley tree! The little birds are so sweet and that is a unique sentiment!

At first glance one wouldn't think there would be too many steps to making this card, but looking at it closer I can't imagine the patience it took to glue those cute red cardinals on The sparkle adds a lovely touch. Basically, this card rocks my world.

Beautiful, I also think it was worth it, I know that 15 might have been a lot to do though, I have a hard time doing any type of card that many times Smile
