Christmas in July Holly Basket 1

For Daria's Winter Holiday in July 2016. Yay! I got some cards made!
This is not my favorite of the group. It's the first one I finished in to a card. Uninspired that day I guess! The vellum piece at the bottom is from a pad of pre-printed vellum quotes and sentiments. I colored the holly on the back side of the vellum with Bic Mark-Its which amazingly matched the watercolor pretty well. I'm also posting these to #thedailymarker30day coloring challenge on Instagram. Daria started a post in the stamping forum about the coloring challenge.
Stamps: Stampendous Holly Basket
Cardstock/Papers: Strathmore 300 series 140 lb watercolor paper
Card Size: A2
Inks/Coloring Medium: water brush and watercolor pencils
TFL!

Forgot to mention, the green paper was embossed and sanded Coordinations.

Cindi, you said this wasn't your favorite of the group? Well, I can hardly wait to see the rest! I love this one. I have this or a similar image, and I'm getting it out now. I had tried coloring it before, but I wasn't successful. I love the way yours has turned out--beautiful shading; the basket is fantastic. I like the embossed and sanded mat too.
