INK 16 Heidi’s Challenge

I created 6 polished stone backgrounds on Yupo. Unfortunately I melted one with the heat gun. Good to note it doesn’t like take much heat for that to happen. I made two backgrounds into cards before taking the photo. I used only a tiny drop of mixative for the backgrounds-gold on blue and silver on red.

I really like the fine lines that the alcohol inks make on the Yupo as well as the small bubbles with the polished stone technique. To me it looks like the veins in polished granite. The different sizes of windows depends on the length of time the blending tool with blending fluid is left on the yupo. The piece needs to be heated briefly to stop the flowing of the alcohol ink since it does not dry as fast on Yupo.

The results you got using Yupo are amazing. I'm going to have to give it a try.
