I made the background with a new technique that Dina Kowal shared on her blog this week. (I will link it in the forum post for this challenge.) You can use any water reactive medium and then while wet you put a stamp or stencil over top and weight it down.

I tried my distress oxides and a hero arts tweed background stamp. It didn't work as well as I would have liked, but I think that is because I used bristol paper instead of watercolor. I am out of watercolor paper.

I stenciled the bottom with a grass stencil.

The sentiment is unity and the butterfly is a no name.

I love the colors! I can see the tweed in the background. These are beautiful, the colors, images and sentiment! Thanks for taking my challenge!

Heidi, these are fabulous! I'm going to check out the technique you used. I have always liked that sentiment. It's perfect with the butterflies on that glowing background. TFS. Daria
