Christmas bird card
|
I held back on posting this so it would be a surprise in the mail. There have been a few questions, so here are the details.
I bought the red rubber stamp from Gray Wolf Graphics at a rubber stamp convention. I hope they are still in business, as I'm sure they sold mostly through conventions and there weren't very many this year. The website doesn't appear to be working. I love the detail in this stamp. I stamped it in Archival Jet Black on glossy card stock. I think I'm about out of glossy now, I made 20 of these!
Stamp : Gray Wolf Graphics
Ink : Archival Jet Black, colored with Tombow markers (water based)
I added white gel pen to the pinecone to resemble snow and it looks like I added gold sparkle pen to the tip of each pine cone petal (?) seed (?) I should have written it down. I inked the glossy cardstock around the outside of the circle, toward the bird with blue distress ink, and the very edge with brown distress ink.
Dies : Sizzix/Tim Holtz stitched circles and Woodlands (pine, gift from Jan :))
Peace strip made with WeR Memory Keepers Word Punch board.
Paper : Elizabeth Craft Design Worn Wood background paper. I love that paper pack! I also edged the pp in brown, most likely Walnut Stain.
TFL!
Here is a bio of Chuck Knock on Amazon, he is the illustrator and owner of Gray Wolf. Pretty interesting. It was a pleasure to meet him at the stamp convention. I think he has also illustrated for Too Much Fun rubber stamps.
