Bokeh Challenge - Birthday Hamster
|
I think the technique shows up much better with this background. I used Distress inks in Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint (?). (I'm not sure about the peeled paint, could have been shabby shutters). I used the same stencils created with nesties and a circle punch as with the chick. Again, I trimmed the piece down and mounted it on black cardstock.
This is going to be a birthday card for my great uncle, who turns 100 this month. His son is trying to get him 100 birthday cards.
The image is by Mo's Digital Pencil, but I think you can order a real stamp of this image from Stamping Bella. I printed the image and sentiment, which came with the digi image, and used my silhouette to cut the shapes. I colored the hamster with Copics, added glossy accents to the frosting and used fabric paint to create the faux enamel sprinkles. I inked the edges with Mowed Lawn. I inked the sentiment with Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn.
