WF15 Surprise Stencil; WF15 Color My World

This was such a fun challenge! I used the challenge stencil layout to create my own version of Hints of Springtime! I created several backgrounds to determine what would work best. I used 15 stamps and spent a lot of time gather all my possibilities. The chick stamp is from Red Rubber stamps and is covered with 2 colors of flocking one with glitter. The grasshopper is by Stampendous and the numbers stamp is by Tim Holtz as well as the dotted fade stencil behind the chick.

To create the collage I used distress stains and inks , Wendy Veccchi archival inks, wink of stella, embossing powder, Viva Pearl ice white to paint the feathers and of course the flocking.

Thanks Sadie and Sarah for your fun challenges

This is definitely a WOW project. I love the spring feel to this, but it really resembles the stencil. I bet the chick looks so awesome with the flock in person. I wonder what is this Viva Pearl Ice product? Great watercolor background too. TFS!

That is happy spring. There is so much to look at here and I like it all very much. Thank you for joining the Stencil Surprise Challenge and sharing.

Heidi, the pearl pen is Viva's dimensional pearls (the Ranger product) I like the ease in making "pearls with it" and also use it for painting opaque white onto my projects as in the feathers here and the eye.

As I said in the tread, this came out fabulous. The chick is super cute and I really like the grasshopper stamp. And I absolutely love all the bright and cheery colors. Great job.
