Bloom postcard front

This is my first postcard for Heidi's postcard challenge.

I colored the flower stamp (hero arts) with mementos markers and then stamped on CS. I was so surprised at how light the stamping was (guess I needed to spritz the stamp rather than breath on it), so that led me to stamp the flowers in grey as my attempt to help the colors flowers stamp out. I finished the postcard with fan-type of stamp used in corners (Fiskar stamp) and sentiment in brown Brilliance ink and also a bee (7 gypsies??) in black dye ink.

The back I used a TH stamp and a tiny dandelion stamp I bought on our recent trip, though I do not know the name of the stamp co.

TFL and fun challenge Heidi!

EDIT to add: I used a 4"x6" size CS.

Very nice! I like the details in the corners. I think your strategy of using the grey to make the colors stand out is awesome! Great idea! Very pretty post card, I hope you have a chance to send it out. Smile

Love how you kept the brighter colors in the center & 'bracketed' them with the grey--very effective!

You did a beautiful job with the DTR technique. The colors look vivid in the picture. I find that each time I add ink and stamp, the colors get darker and darker. TFS. Daria
