Creative Challenges: Ombré Watercolor background

I used my Daniel Smith watercolors to create an ombré look for my background. It is a really rich paint, and although it is more of an ombré in person (it is still really gloomy here today for a photo) I did struggle a little getting it to fade to white.

Then I stamped over top with a Technique Junkies stamp and watercolored the rest of the image as carefully as I could.

Oh, that's pretty! I can see the fade in the background, very nice. Love that Christmas cactus stamp. Brings back memories of a beautiful plant my Dad had ... wonder if it's still at Mom's?

Your background is wonderful; I know how hard it is to do that gentle fade, and yours is perfect. Beautiful card. TFS. Daria

You created a wonderful Ombre' effect, and love the image you have chosen. TFS
