Creative Challenges - Distress Glaze

Here are some backgrounds I made with the Distress Glaze. My first attempt was the butterflies using regular card stock. I have bought this white card stock from Wal Mart fro years but the quality has changed recently. When I swiped the cs through the colors I had to do it several times because it is now thinner and soaks up so much of the ink that it looks very blotchy the first time. I used watercolor paper for all the others and that wotked better.

Love your color combos! Did you use stencils or embossing plates? For many years I used Geogia Pacific card stock from Walmart...Is that the brand that you used? I am sure we will see several terrific cards with these backgrounds!

Looks like you had a lot of fun playing with this technique! It will be fun when you use them too! They really look like you used a paste. They have lots of dimension.

Jan, I used plastic stencils and the paper I was talking about is the Georgia Pacific at wal mart. Very Happy

In the end you got the butterfly to look great! That is too bad the cardstock quality changed over time. I like your backgrounds!
