Altenew 3D Embossing Folder

I didn't want to post this until Jan got it; then I forgot to come back and post it.

I tried to do the technique that Jennifer McGuire showed recently. I used backgrounds that I had already inked, embossed the inked cardstock, and sanded the raised design with a sanding block I had to use on Shrink Plastic.

I like the way the first two front pieces turned out. I tried again with something I had inked on glossy cardstock, and that one didn’t turn out as well. Then I remembered that someone had said she’d swiped white pigment ink on hers instead of sanding. I tried that. I totally forgot that white pigment ink will not dry on glossy cardstock. Sigh. I ended up heat embossing the entire card front. I threw away the first one I had both sanded and inked. I kept the one that I skipped the sanding and just used white pigment ink and heat embossing; it’s the third card in the post.

Beautiful colors and ink blending. Sanding really helps the embossing stand out. I love these big bold tulips!
