INF14 Book'Em & Lighten Up

I combined LeighAnn's Book'Em challenge with my own. In real life, the flowers sparkle nicely and look more solid than in the photo.

I used the technique to make the background on watercolor paper by using a Hero Arts Background stamp and Tumbled Glass distress ink.

I then cut my A2 sized panel in half, 2 1/8 by 4.25 inches, which I think is a nice size for a bookmark. I had made this both on watercolor and regular cardstock, but I picked the watercolor paper for this one just for durability.

I then stamped the flowers (Gina K Spring Blessings) with Memento Luxe Teal Zeal pigment ink. I quickly added sparkle embossing powder after each flower since this ink will emboss, but does not stay wet for very long at all. Of course, the sentiment is crooked, but oh well. The first one I stamped it crooked AND smeared it. lol

Another great background. And that sentiment is fabulous. And the pattern on the ribbon is perfect with the backgroung pattern and the stamped flowers

This turned out really pretty! I love the background paired with the floral image. The ribbon works perfectly with your bookmark too. And I'm pretty sure 90% of my sentiments are crooked! I should really invest in one of those stampamajigs! TFS and taking my challenge Smile

This turned out really nicely. And pug.. I have a stampamajig and never remember to use it so my sentiments are always crooked, lol

I love the simplicity of the design. The darker flowers against the softly stamped floral background is very effective. Lovely. TFS. Daria

Lovely BG and I like how it matches the ribbon. The flowers I can kinda see the sparkle which helps me imagine what it's like IRL. pretty bookmark!
