Happy Mail: Swiping Oxide Inks with CC onto glossy cardstock and wiping with distress glaze
|
On the left card I used a narrow piece of CC for swiping the oxide inks. On the other narrow end of the cc I notched out triangle shaped cuts. Once cut it left behind several sharp points to create narrow parallel lines on the glossy paper. I dragged the card along the surface to make different movements with some lines. After finished inking I added distress glaze on both cards.
I used the narrow edge of the CC for the bow effect. I inked the CC and quickly placed one end on the approx point of where I wanted the center point and then swiped the opposite edge to form the wider edge of each loop of the bow.
For the card on the right I played more with swiping various narrow pieces of the CC. I achieve a couple narrow inked areas that resemble a pencil or paintbrush. I added some ink splatters to add to the look.
After finished inking I added distress glaze to both cards.
On the right I stamped a stamped image of a burst. The happy is cut with a Tim Holtz die. What fun I had playing with different too and hope you did too!
