My abstract painting

I wasn't sure if this is considered mixed media---but i did get the process from the Jan/Feb 2015 issue of Cloth Paper Scissors magazine, which is mainly about mixed media.

I used the Liquitex Inks, salt, bamboo skewer, and black india ink---all on watercolor paper. Next I am going to try this process on watercolor paper that I have painted with gesso first---that should be closer to the AquaBoard the artist used in the magazine in the process she instructed.

It was lots of fun to make!

I am familiar with the salt on paint method but not with the bamboo stick. I like the bit around the bottom with the lines, I guess that was with the stick? The liquitex inks look like a lot of fun to work with! Could be an awesome background for a card too!

What a beautiful color combination! I too enjoyed reading the process in CPS. So I wonder if the green represents your garden?
