Summer challenge #2 - People

This is a Prima doll stamp that I got as a RAK from CarribeanGIrl. I have been wanting to paper piece her dress, so that is what I did. These are LARGE stamps so I did cut off her legs in order to get her to fit on a standard A2 card and I am glad I did because I really think I like the look better anyhow.

I colored the hair and skin with Derwent Metallic Watersoluble pencil or Watercolor pencils. I did not use any water. The paper pad is My Mind's Eye Bramble Rose. I added some lace from my stash.

I think this might be a nice card for a tween girl.

Thanks for the challenge!

I like the textured cardstock for her legs, arms and face. Your paper piercing is so pretty. Love the head band. A very pretty card.

Fantastic paper piecing! Funny you posted this card today cause I just returned from Michael's where I saw Julie Nutting's book Collage Couture: Techniques for Creating Fashionable Art on a feature rack in with the quality tube paints. The book is some real eye-candy for this kind of work. Heidi you really have an eye for this style of designll!

I love how the lace trim matches the ruffle on her dress! Nice job piecing. I'm really liking the wood paper peeking out on the right too.

Cool card! I love how you used this stamp. I have one of these and I'm a little intimidated by it! Fun addition of the lace. Fun card and would. E great for a teen girl. TFS Smile
