Stamp on Over Christmas Marathon, 2015 -- Impression Obsession Shaker Card
|
I usually only post one card from the Marathon Classes and link to my gallery on scrapbook.com. That way I have lots of room in one post, and I don't have to flood the board here or there with lots of posts all at once. (OK. I admit it. It's so much easier to do it all in one post.) However, I wanted to post this one here since it was made with the same image I gave out as RAKs for my latest challenge. I bought myself a similar image (used, on sale) and planned to make a shaker card with it so it made me happy to get this chance to make one using this image at the class.
CARD:
4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
SUPPLIES:
Impression Obsession Stamp, Merry Kiss-Mas by Lindsay Ostrom (IO-CLG-L19021)
Versafine Onyx Black Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Copic Markers
Poppystamps Dies, Small Blooming Poinsettia (902)
Flower Soft, Sequins, Red Prills, sequins, glitter (for shaker filling)
Window Plastic/Acetate
3M Scotch Mounting Tape
Anti Static Tool (to coat the sides of the mounting tape)
At home I added sponged Distress Ink to the die-cuts—Barn Red, Peeled Paint, and Mustard Seed.
I think it would have been better if I’d used two layers of mounting tape so that the items behind the window had more room to move freely. Also, I wish I’d had more chunky items; the glitter just clings to the window plastic.
TFL.
