WF16- Recycling Trash Heart Trio

For the base, I cut a piece from a biscotti box. I used a stencil I made with my silhouette and used Decoart fluid acrylic interference turquoise paint. The ribbon was actually saved from the trash. It was one of the ribbon loops in either a blouse or dress for holding it on a hanger. I hate those things, so I cut them out. I used my bow-it-all to make the bow. I used a piece of screen to mat the stamped hearts. I attached the screen with glue dots. For the hearts, I found on my table an invitation to an alumni dinner from my law school. It was on a lovely cream cardstock. So for the back 2 hearts, I spread some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink on the paper. I then panted the stamps with the interference paint. The stamp is by Penny Black. It didn't show up great, so I decided to do another heart. I painted a section of the invitation with black gesso and then painted over with interference paint. Then I stamped with Versafine ink in black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I popped up the center heart with foam squares. When I was assembling, I noticed that I accidentally stamped the left heart on some of the writing from the invitation, so the center heart is placed to cover that.
As I was thinking about this challenge, I noticed the match I had in my dish of water on my desk from singeing my fabric flowers for another challenge. I used it for the arrow shaft, and cut pieces from biscotti box for the arrow head and fetching. I cover it with sand texture paste tinted with black gesso. When it dried, I added interference paint and some fluid acrylic paint in white and purple.
I included a close-up of the arrow in the discussion thread.

I alwys cut those hanger things out of shirts and dresses too, I have never saved them for crafting with though, but maybe I will. I really like the colors on this, I have never heard of that type of paint before. This is very striking with the black background. TFS
