WF16-Recycling Trash Flower Heart

The very bottom layer is coffee sleeve from Starbucks. I rubbed some Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Grape Juice. It was a little too dark, so I then rubbed some Brilliance Ink in Pearlescent Lavender. Partially on top of that is a used coffee filter. I punched the edge with 2 different sized hearts. Then I colored it with Brushos and Shimmer Mist. The “ribbon” is a plastic covered wire twist tie that I colored with Alcohol Ink in Purple Twilight and Pearl Mixative. The embellishment on top is a beer bottle cap. I filled it with glossy accents. The blobby colors are actually the small hearts I punched out from the filter and I colored them with my Zig Clean Color markers. So I saved those from the trash twice. I added a little glitter too. The focal image is a Penny Black stamp. I stamped it on an invitation to an alumni dinner from my law school. It was on a lovely cream cardstock. I stamped it with Versafine ink in black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I colored it with my Zig Clean Color markers and fussy cut it out.
I included a close-up of the bottle cap on the discussion thread.

Well, what a bunch of trash! LOL. That bottle cap is used in such a different way, I always smash them I never thought to use them like this. The flower peaking through is lovely. I don't think I have ever said lovely in connection with trash before. TFS
