Egg-cite Me Challenge-Mini Crazy Birds Decorate an egg.

I took a piece of watercolor paper and cut it using the Tim Holtz oval dies. I then used the new Tim Holtz crayons and made some color lines and smudged them. I then took a stencil and a baby wipe and wiped some of the color away so that the stencil design showed. I then stamped 3 of the mini birds and the paint brushes and bunny ears and painted them also using the Tim Holtz crayons and a water brush. I cut the minis out with the matching dies and then arranged them on the card so that it looks like they were painting the egg. I kind of put the oval on the card base at a slant so that it would deceive the eye into believing it is an egg instead of an oval. I put some gel pen in a glitter color on the tips of the brushed and dots of the same colors on the birds like they had dripped the paint on themselves.

Thank you for looking.

Such a fun design with the floppy ears on birds and the bird on top taking a rest on the middle bird's head...so funny! The darling little paintbrushes complete with splashed paint add to the “bunnies at play” look. Thanks for sharing your use of distress crayons--the colors look great! Hope we get to see more---and hear about your personal experience with them.
