SU Owl Builder Punch
|
Emma, a talented 13-year-old visited me for a day of card-making. We went to Pinterest to see what she’d like to make, and she chose a card by Jill Coleman, posted to the Splitcoaststampers Gallery: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2082030. We both loved Jill’s card and enjoyed making one very much like hers. If you see this, Jill, thank you for the inspiration.
This card is mine; you can see Emma's in my gallery at Scrapbook.com: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/13464/view/5674479/-1/0/0.html.
CARD:
4 ¼” x 5 ½”
Bazzill Black Cardstock (card base and die cuts)
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock (mat and focal piece)
Distress Inks (Weathered Wood, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire)
Stampin’ Up! Owl Builder Punch
Spellbinders Shapabilities Cherry Blossom Die Set (branch)
Judikins Eclipse Tape and Spellbinders Nestabilities circle die (mask for moon)
I tried to demonstrate ink blending for Emma, and I made a mess of it. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Then I realized I’d grabbed a piece of the Georgia Pacific cardstock I’d given her to put in front of her cards when she mailed them. I switched to the smoother Neenah, and the difference was amazing. She sat down and did a fabulous job and gave me tips when I made my card. That was good because she encouraged me to work with a light hand. This was a fun and easy card to make.
TFL.
