Smooth Sea

This was a little intricate to make. I used wood designer paper and edged it with Walnut Stain distress ink after I cut up the pieces of paper. When I glued the pieces in place I left spacing so you would see the dark cardstock which was made to resemble wood. I added some dots to replicate nails.

As my image was too big for a round port hole I used Labels 4, my go to die set from Spellbinders. I added shiny brads to make it look like a port hole.

I stamped the mermaid onto a wax paper resist and you can see the tutorial here http://www.sunflowers-dragonflies.ca/blog/45422/how-to-create-wax-paper-resist/

DH helped out with this card. He was the holder of the twine while I braided it to make my twine thicker. Next, I added banners.

Your die definitely gives the feel of a port hole even though it isn't round. Love the wood siding! Cool water technique and overall wonderful card!
