WF17SS and WF17 3M You're one in a buzzillion

WF17 SS

I made the stamped and stenciled floral piece in the background. You can see more about it in it's own gallery post.

WF17 3M

I'm not sure if this qualifies Sarah, just let me know and I'll try again. I have the media, but they are a little separate, not so mixed ...

I stenciled the flower in a pot with distress inks through a brass stencil (American Traditional Stencils). I thought about it, I know distress inks react and move, but did it anyway. It turned out ok, but next time I would probably use archival ink or something else. Next I applied Golden Glass Bead Gel throught the stencil.

Media - Glass bead gel
Color - Ranger Distress Inks
Embellishment - ribbon

Stamp is old Stampin Up

Die cut with Avery Elle Wonky Stitches.
Mounted on brown glitter card base.

Thanks for the challenges Leigh Ann and Sarah!

Ps, Only when I was looking at my photo did I notice I lost a few glass beads from two of the flower petals ... maybe during card construction? Grrr! I might get brave and try to replace them with a toothpick ... or I might just leave it alone? I don't know, it's kind of bugging me! What do you think I should do?

This is a wonderful card! Everything works together so well. Your background looks great, and it is a honeycomb design even if it doubles as chicken wire. lol. I like the wonky stitched rectangle. Your image is beautiful. It looks like the Distress Inks did fine while you applied the glass bead gel. To answer your question, I'd probably add more bead gel to cover the spots that lost them. I wonder if you could dab some on without using the stencil again. Good luck if you decide to do it. Dari

This is great! I like how the image panel really unifies and reinforces your background by having the flower and the bee on there. I am really interested in this glass bead gel now that I see how it can be layered over sponging! It looks so neat!

The flower came out fantastic. I really like how you colored it first and added the glass beads. The texture really works with that image. The card came out beautiful and it most definately counts. Thanks for playing.
