This was an easy card. I spent more time on trial and error stamping and searching for a blue cardstock that would work than anything else.
I know from experience that photo-type stamps stamp best on glossy cardstock, but I couldn’t resist experimenting. This image isn’t really a photo-type image, but it is close.
First, I accidentally stamped the image on the back of glossy cardstock, and it wasn’t bad.
I tried it on a piece of Georgia Pacific cardstock that I usually use as an insert to protect my card fronts when mailing; it didn’t stamp very well. The two best results were with glossy cardstock and Matte-Kote. When I stamped it on Matte-Kote, it stuck to the stamp a bit and suctioned off some ink (probably user error).
I gave up trying to find the right blue cardstock and remembered that I could just use the denim ink on some white cardstock. That’s what I did. When I remember to do that, I always like the results. It gives a suede-like look instead of a flat look. I need to stop buying color cardstock altogether.
The inside of the card is posted in my gallery at scrapbook.com: https://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/13464/view/5902805/-1/0/0.html.
