Inky oils challenge

I made a birthday card out of the inky oils background from CraftNerd's June technique challenge.

I used the oil and reinker on copy paper. I laid the transparent result over black and white scrapbook paper that I matted with black glitter paper. I used Scotch quick dry liquid glue to adhere the oiled paper. I can see it, but I'm hoping maybe that's because I know where it is, and maybe with the splotchy green background it doesn't show up too bad? I weighted it down for a few minutes to dry. At first my oiled paper was a little wrinkly, and that seemed to help. Maybe next time I would try a tape runner made for vellum?

The "happy" die cut and "birthday" sentiment are from a Hero Arts Stamp and Cut set.
Bow - Heidi Swapp, I think

TFL! Thanks for the challenge CraftNerd!

I really love the green inky oils piece on top of the black and white pp. It looks great. And I can't see the glue. This came out great.
