Cosmic Shimmer Opal Polish, Adventures in Stamping purchase

This stuff is pretty cool. I saw it demoed and chose the Blue Parakeet. It shows mostly green on white paper and blue green on black paper (bottom sample). They are really opalescent in person. I also bought the die at Adventures ...

Top : A finished card! I was bound and determined to finish a card at Jan's ... stayed up late, but got it done!
Background medium - Cosmic Shimmer Opal Polish in Blue Parakeet over white cardstock
Die : Dare 2B Artsy Leaf (3 piece die)
Stamp : Wendy Vecchi

Bottom : An embossed background

Embossing folder - one of Jan's
I colored the black cs with opal polish, embossed, then used my finger to apply Viva Inka Gold over portions.

Jan borrowed this die to create some card fronts. I hope she'll share those in the gallery when she gets a chance. The die looks pretty cut from her alcohol inkings.

TFL!

Love the color, I have seen these demoed but haven't tried them, love the effect you got

These are incredible. Does that die come with the extra piece (where you stamped the sentiment)? It's lovely. My favorite piece here is one with Blue Parakeet on black cardstock. I love everything about it--the colors, the addition of Inka Gold, the embossing folder you used. Wow! (I wonder if my Inka Gold is any good anymore; I've had it forever.) Thank you for sharing. For anyone else who may be wondering ... save your Inka Gold! I added just a bit of water to the top and stirred around. You only need to reconstitute the top layer, just enough for your project. Worked great. I think I watched a video on how to do it.

And yes, the set comes with a die to cut the sentiment piece. One piece cut and stitched the green layer, one cut the white overlay, one for the sentiment.

I like the finished project a lot. That is a pretty color and I bet it looks really nice in person as opalescent. The background is neat too on the dark paper. Thanks for the tip about just reconstituting the top layer of inka gold
