INK19 Take A Look

I didn’t have many unused stencils, but I did have this pack from Recollections that I got for 50 cents. I really was looking forward to trying my new brusho powders with the stencils, since I have seen that in videos many times, to great effect.

However, I was pretty disappointed with the results, they were sloppy and lacked definition. I had high hopes for the lemons. The others are a hummingbird and a flower pot.

My favorite is probably the extra print I got from the blue tile background. I used the other blue one in my card project, but I want to figure out a use for this one too.

I might be able to use the red one, too, if I cover up the bird part.

So I think I learned that only a geometric pattern is going to work for the brusho powder through stencil technique. It was a good challenge for me though!

I found the same thing when I tried this method. I got the best print by turning the stencil over and stamping it on paper.

I love playing with stencils, and have been wanting to try this technique also. I feel that your pieces are still quite useful for backgrounds, etc., and you should consider using them! TFS

I did this technique when it first came out and I think mine did pretty well. I need to go back and try it again to see what I really did. There were a few different ways to do this. I think these look fine and will look just right with the right stamp. Very Happy

I bet you will find great uses for these backgrounds. They might not be what you expected, but the speckled color is really neat.

I was curious about that, like the results on the blue and the red ones.

Don't write these off. You are going to be surprised at what wonderful backgrounds they will make. Perfection is over-rated. These have color, energy, and movement. Work with them. You can use the entire piece or you could use pieces. TFS. Daria
