INF14 - The Shadow Knows Challenge

These are my sample cards for The Shadow Knows Challenge. This challenge uses the Versa Shadow Technique demonstrated by Erin Gonzales of Hand Stamped Style. Here’s a link to her short video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMRl3hkM95E. It’s a simple and very effective technique. As Erin mentions in her video, it’s a way of making a white-stamped image stand out. Erin, thank you for sharing this technique. I loved the way it turned out.

To easily create a more conventional shadow, check out Anna-Karin Evaldsson’s Layers of Ink Challenge from WSW11. She used two-layer stamping to create the shadow, but that’s not the technique we’re using for this challenge.

I can't seem to upload the details so I'll add them to the discussion thread. You can also see the cards and details here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/13464/view/5185719/-1/0/0.html.

What a beautiful set of cards! I can't wait to see the video of the technique! The green on hot pink is such a bold look but I love them all.

This is such a pretty set of cards! I can't believe the impact such a simple technique makes! Gotta love it! Your background papers aren't even very dark and the ferns still pop!

Wow. These all came out amazing. That stamp is perfect for this technique. I really like the die you used on the green one.

Gorgeous set of cards! I just love that image and it really looks great with this technique. Love the depth it gives them. I like the different frames they're in and the Pearl embellishments. TFS Smile
