Making Spirits Bright

I've had this snowman die for at least a year or two and I'm glad I finally got some cards made. My card closely resembles one of the card samples on the Memory Box website. It's harder than it seems to keep cards clean and simple, especially clean!
I made 20 of these the week before Christmas to finally complete my card making for the season!

I loved the navy behind the snowman collage in the sample, so I definitely copied that. I glued scraps of black behind the eyes and inlaid the orange nose.

Dies : Memory Box Charming Snowman Collage, Memory Box Cheery Cardinals (cut from glossy red cardstock). Avery Elle Wonky Stitches frame

Stamps : sentiment is Spellbinders, it comes with a die to cut the word strip (I created the fishtail with the corner of a small square punch)

Embellished with Taylored Expressions Bits & Pieces - Snowflakes. I really like these. They adhered well, at least as far as I know, and they are clay, but feel soft, almost foamy.

I thought I carefully inspected for the little diecut "threads", but I see I missed some and they show right up on the navy background! Anyone have any tips for avoiding those? So irritating! I cut from Neenah Solar White 80#. Is there another paper better for diecutting? Tips appreciated.

so cute, the navy behind it looks really nice and I like the birds with him. I have not tips about the threads you get, I usually take my nail around the edges when I see them. Maybe a microfiber cloth rubbed along them would take them away.
